minecraft Is my GE62VR 7RF Apache Pro underperforming?

Specs: i7-7700HQ 16GB 64-bit gtx 1060

 

So I've had this for 3 years now, but never questioned the low fps of it when playing minecraft. Although.. I noticed everyone that has a gtx 1060 as mine, but on the PC it performs much better for about 500-800 fps, and for the contenders which are laptops with a gtx 1060 it goes up to 200 fps, and mine on the other hand just goes about 40-100 fps and that's just on superflat. When on normal worlds, or servers, it struggles really bad.

 

It's not clocked or anything, and there's no programs running on the background.. any possible answers is much appreciated!

If it's on the nvidia control panel then yes, I placed it on gpu

you'd also need to be running it fullscreen as well

Ohhh! the fullscreen did its magic! my fps got up to 100-200 fps, but before I end this thread. I'd like to ask how does the ones on pc get up to 500-800 fps with the same graphics card? or does the one on laptops have a different one, or is it on the igpu since mc takes lots more on the cpu? last one, is mine really underforming? or was this a normal case on this type of laptops since its old compared to the newer generations?

they're running 8, same as mine

I think when you get to like, 200fps you get CPU limitted. I don't think the 7700hq's were particularly strong.
