I'm currently sitting on my annual bonus funds from this year and have about $500 of it I'd like to slot into upgrades for my gaming rig.  I'm currently running a Ryzen 2600 @4.1Ghz, air cooled with 16GB of DDR4-3000(CL16), ASUS ROG Strix 1070, MSI Tomahawk B450(Have bios update for Ryzen 3000, done by me, not the new Max with 3000 support already).  I'm run my games at 1080p on a 144hz monitor.  All of this is in a Fractal Meshify C, 750W Full Modular 80+ Bronze PSU, with 4 Noctua case fans(2 intake, 2 exhaust) and a Deepcook Gamaxx 400 with 2 Noctua fans(push/pull)

Question is, would I be better of with a Ryzen 3600/3700/3800 and faster RAM????  Or upgrade the video card to a 5700XT???  Maybe stretch a bit and find a 2070 Super????   Or am I ok for now and wait another generation then upgrade???  If I did the last option, might look into an AIO and get onto watercooling my CPU.  Just looking for the best way to stretch my dollars.

CPU:  AMD Ryzen 5 3600(Stock Clock)

Cooler: EVGA CLC 280

Motherboard: ASUS X570 TUF Gaming Plus WiFi

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC3

RAM: 32GB(2x16GB) G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3600

SSD: WD Blue 3D NAND M.2 250 GB

HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB

Case:  Fractal Design Meshify C

PSU:  Seasonic Focus 650W 80+ Gold

Maybe consider a new monitor.

Your 1070 can easily handle 1440p at 75 fps and if you turn down a few of the settings you can get 100+ fps

I have an AMD R9 290X and it runs games like Forza horizon 4, rocket league, and no man's sky at 1440p 60fps just fine.

Your 1070 is about 50% faster than my card so you will see great framerates.
