Computer crashed to black screen, cannot reboot

I was playing rocket league and idling on the main menu when suddenly I heard a click from my computer case and my screen went immediately black. No circuit breaker has been tripped, my backup power supply is working normally, and my power didn't go out.

I have subsequently tried

  • pressing the power button (to see if it would restart). It didn't. No noise or anything. Just the button clicked.
  • I unplugged the power supply and turned the power supply off. Then held the power button for a few seconds. Then plugged the power supply back in and turned the supply back on. When I do this and then hit the power button, I hear a loud click from my case (probably from the motherboard), but that is it. Nothing on screen. Nothing on the motherboard status screen.

When the power supply is plugged in and on, some status lights on my graphics card illuminate white. This tells me the power supply didn't fail. The fact that the screen didn't go weird colors before failing means to me its not the graphics card. My conclusion therefore is that my motherboard failed. What else can I do to test for motherboard failure and how can I proceed from here? Motherboard manual has no troubleshooting.
