Potential issue with cloning

Hello,

 

I am helpong out a friend with his laptop. His hdd is showing some issues and we decided it is best to clone the content of it over to a new ssd.

 

Now I did this a few times in the past, so I normally know what I am doing. I removed the hdd, hooked up both the ssd and hdd to my pc so I can do the cloning.

 

However, something I did not foresee was that the hdd from the laptop suddenly acted up like my boot drive... . Of course since windows 10 is easy going with this, it just booted up right into it. Is this is going to be a concern if I place either the hdd or the ssd, once cloned, back into the laptop? I am a little bit scared the drivers will be an issue.

To answer my own question: it did not luckily!
