Hi im a 13 year old boy in australia and i want to convince my dad to get me pc parts so i can build a gaming pc. Im thinking about getting a job when im old enough but even then i probably wont have enough and they will need to help. How can i onvince them?

You can't really. If he's kind enough to buy you the parts that's great, if not then find a different approach. If this is your first computer for gaming I'd recommend finding an old Dell Optiplex or something similar and buying a cheaper GPU to go with it. If you want something then my recommendation would be to work for it. You may not be able to get a traditional job but you could certainly get paid under the table somewhere during the summer when you're off from school. I believe you can get a legitimate job at 13 in Australia with a permit, so you could do that. 

 

Do you have a computer or a console now? If you do and you're not comfortable getting a job for the summer then enjoy what you have for now and wait until you're able to buy the parts yourself. There have been many threads like this one in the past and the general consensus is work for what you want. It may not be the answer you wanted but it is the truth. GL! ?
