Wait or Buy

CES 2020 is coming soon...

Should you wait until all the new tech stuff gets released before buying a new laptop or does it even matter? 

I am thinking that prices of current offerings would come down.

What do you think?

Buy now, unless you change MoBo and CPU more frequently than 5 years OR your use case demands lots of processing power (it will earn you money or you have to play on max settings).

 

Prices will likely not come down enough to warrant waiting over half a year.

can you go for a sephyrus s for 1500? it is bang for buck and you get a rtx 2070

I don't really want to spend more than $1000 and the G series from Dell or the XPS is expansive but it is doing a bit of a justice for me. I have seen what Asus offers but it's too expensive. 

I am looking for something that can do light gaming while on the go for school.

alienware m15 with a gtx 2060 for 1000 is the best choice i think. there are configs for even 750.

I am not in the USA... I wish... Can you check out my new post. I think it is a great buy here in Canada for me and it is an Asus.
