Hello and happy new year to everyone !

Recently i got some $$$ and looking forward to an upgrade of my old gpu

My current build is

i5 8500

16 gb ram

gtx 1060 3gb

1tb hdd

psu 600 W

Its been 3 years since i built this pc and i see through the years that in some heavy optimized games my GPU VRam is not enough for this

I was thinking about rtx 2060 6gb but i want your opinion too

Sincerely

Buy a RTX card if you are going to play Ray Tracing games. Otherwise check the GTX 16 series cards.

BTW what kind of games do you play?

GTA V

RDR2 (on low quality kinda 60 fps)

R6S

Arma 3

Battefield games (mostly BF1)

Heats of Iron IV

Destiny 2

Go for a 16 series card. You won't be using Ray Tracing much. Actually both are nice, I don't know the price in your country so if both are kinda same then you can buy any of these cards.

Honestly, a RX 5700 performs better and is often found cheaper than a GTX 2060. I believe performance is somewhere between a 2060 and 2060 super.
