New windows 10 HELP

Hello I am upgrading my dads super old pc and have done so all that’s left to do is upgrade his storage because it’s ridiculously slow I am buying him a 240 GB m.2 SSD but his old 1TB HD has windows installed on it my plan is to somehow move his windows to the ssd and use the HD the storage for his photos etc and I need help how to move windows
