Steam won't open:(

Go to solution Solved by Barfoed,

For some reason I actually got it to work, after two days of trying. I reeinstalled windows and in the beginning that didn't work either, so i have concluded it don't have anything to do with windows. But then I thought I would try to launch a game from my steam libary, which I had on my other disk. It started and wanted to download and then Steam was "open", but the client was still closed. I right clicked on the steam icon in the taskbar, and I clicked on library. This has for some reason worked before and it did again. I quickly pinned steam to the taskbar. Should be said that i haven't had that option before.

It's not much of a solution, but I thought i would put it in here as one, so other people had another possible sollution they could try if they run into the same problem.

Hello Forum

I have a problem that i have had a couple of times and have solved it before. But this time it seems unsovable. When i try to open steam it says that it opens and crashes completely right after. I can see it is running in the background but i cannot open it. I have tried:

1. reinstalling

2. repairing

3. restarting

4. updating (drivers and windows) (I even tried in safe mode)

5. running "steam://flushconfig" program

Nothing worked. So I wonder what my options are. I have been thinking about reeinstalling windows (Again! since I just had a blue screen error that basically made it so i had to reinstall).

I hope someone can help. I have found you guys really helpful before;)
