Peripherals stopped working

Faabs

Hello, so last week I switched my 970 with a 980, and since I did, my mouse doesn't get recognized, my keyboard doesn't light up, my streamdeck is also not recognized and my webcam too. I've tried everything to switching the GPU again, completly resetting my PC and Windows, updating my BIOS, and trying to fix the drivers. But nothing seems to work. The only more thing that happened in that time was it being in a cold enviroment for several days. It also doens't light up etc in other computers. So I was thinking to buy a new motherboard, but I'm not sure if this will fix my problem. How can I fix this and play games again? Shall I try buying new peripherals or new components? Thanks!

Maybe you might have accidently unplugged the USB headers while trying to switch graphic cards. It's actually happen to me before. Try to see if your USB headers might have fallen off. If you connect your periphereals to your motherboard usb ports does it work fine? Or is that what you plug everything in with. Otherwise it may have nothing to do with USB headers.

My Rig:

CPU: Intel i5 2500k 4 Cores, 4 Threads @ 4.5ghz ( asus uefi regulates BIOS and adjusts it, there is no manual option, so I can't get any higher than 4.5, but I theoretically should be able to get higher once I get a voltage "changeable" mobo

I also have a PCI-e USB 3.0 slot. The ones on the motherboard work fine, just like the PCI-e hub. It's just some peripherals aren't working completetly anymore since, doesn't matter what port.
