I know this is kinda a weird/stupid question, but hear me out. I recently did the whole g-sync thing via freesync (Turned on V-Sync in 3D settings and then did the 'Set up G sync'). Do I leave this on, OR only when I am playing a game like: Project Cars 2? Also do I turn it OFF,  If I am playing an fps like CSGO etc.?

*I am running a Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 2060 (Might be relevant idk)*

Can you modify game profiles in Nvidia control panel to have g sync turn on for games only? If not then I would leave it on. No hurt of leaving g sync on 24/7.

Okay Thanks. Btw I have heard people say u shouldn't turn v sync on in the control panel, are they right?

I dont know anything about G-Sync, or what monitor he has, but on my LG 34GK950F I can make different profiles on the OSD itself and have freesync in some and not in others, etc. It's very customizable.

I have 34gl750 monitor and i can't do that. There are 7 game modes preset but if i turn off adaptive sync then it will apply for all game modes. I just modify game profiles through amd control panel.

According to 3D mark dev Gsync is on by default - I can't really check because I don't have a Gsync monitor but I suppose indeed that this is a global setting like DSR is.

Don't use vsync.

To me any game without Vsync is 100% unplayable, but I do understand that if you use Gsync or free sync it should be turned off.

That actually reminds me I should buy a Gsync monitor because I'm very wary about this tech and this would once for all either confirm my fears and suspicions or deconfirm them possibly - just like that one time when I bought that AMD GPU knowing full well I would probably hate it (the temptation of getting good performance on the low was indeed too tempting though)  what I didn't expect was just how trash it is lol (still nightmares about it,  thankfully not literally lol)
