I'm looking into building a PC, but considering that I'm trying to build the cheapest PC with somewhat decent parts (used PC PartPicker for compatibility, looked at Micro Center for deals). However, my Ryzen 5 2600 (https://www.microcenter.com/product/505628/amd-ryzen-5-2600-34ghz-6-core-am4-boxed-processor-with-wraith-stealth-cooler) comes with a cooler, and was wondering if it is good enough for cooling my system? Thanks!

It's adequate for cooling. If it wasn't good enough, it wouldn't be included with the cpu.

I recommend trying it out first. You can always replace it later if you're not satisfied with the results.

Moved to Air Cooling.

I would add one small caveat that if you live in a very very hot place (like say, egypt) and you don’t have air con, the base ambient room heat could be so high in the summer that you start having problems.  What you won’t be able to do is overclock it very much.  One option that is sometimes chosen is to spend a hair more for the 2600x.  The only real difference is the cooler is a bit better.  It’s only even ever worth it if the price is very very close though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

That's true for the most part except for sff builds. I was looking at building a sub 10L computer and through research I noticed that the stock cooler performance wasn't very good (80c+ on the cpu). But if OP isn't going crazy and building a super tiny computer, it wouldn't be a problem.
