Is anyone aware of a reputable brand version of this idea?

Never really counted, since the parts weren't purchased at the same time, but rather over the course of a year. But the total (Swedish prices, converted to USD) comes to around 5600. I would guess that it'd cost maybe 4500 in the US, given how much cheaper computer parts are there.

No kids, no car, never travel, don't drink, don't smoke. Lots of money left to spend on computer parts! :)
