Alright, so I had a drive with windows 10 on it, but I wanted to get a fresh installation of windows onto it. While going through the process though, I screwed up whenever I got to the partition management part, where you decide to put windows (using the mobile installation media USB thing), as I accidentally deleted the partition containing windows from the drive, and I may have messed it up even more whenever trying to recover the partition. I put the drive through EaseUS, and it doesn't even seem able to find anything. Oh, and no I haven't installed anything onto the drive in question since I accidentally deleted the partition.

The real kicker is that this one on my buddy's drives, and he was just wanting me to use a program on my computer to rip the product key off the drive, and now I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to, exponentially since the drive has to be returned back to him tomorrow (1-1-2020)

Is my best bet to just buy a key online for $25, and pretend like its the same one, or is there something I can do?
