Hi im looking to buy rx 580 8gb, rx 590 or vega 56 from ali express since shipping is really low or free.

Now ive seen some rx 580 8gb for 120$ from good brands like gigabyte, i have no doubt that these cards come from crypto mining, my question is can they handle OC from your experience with these type of cards?

Ps: why rx 590 is so expensive, 2x the price of 580 even though this card was considered useless by most reviewer's

Most mining cards were run with lower clock speeds to improve profit, they'll work like any other GPU

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I mean personally I would avoid buying off Ali express.. You'll likely get a fake card. Or one thats had its bios edited so it thinks its a different card so shows up fine in windows. Just performs like a ten year Old card.

Secondly overclocking is a lottery. You could buy two identical cards. One could overclock massively and gain say 25% performance. And the second could not even overclock by a single mhz.

Buy from the likes of ebay or Facebook market place if you're happy to have used. At least you know what you are actually getting there.

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

Unfortunately that is my only choice. I always look for the seller who have the most real reviews and go through them.

If its your only choice then you don't need us to help. If you have issues you've been advised against it. Just remember that last part if you get a DOA card and wonder why

Avoid buying GPUs from AliExpress, because you can order an RX 580 and get a software tricked RX 580 but its actually RX 550...

Crypto mining can have significant impact on GPU longevity and performance.

To be an expert is to know more about less.
