Bottlenecking PC

Akashk28

I recently built a my first computer 1 year ago and am looking to upgrade a few parts. I have an i5-8500 3.00GHz CPU,  16GB of RAM(DDR4) with a speed of 2133MHz (CORSAIR Vengeance), a SSD with 1TB, a HD with 2TB, a GTX 1050Ti GPU, MSI Z370 Gaming-Plus Motherboard, a Hyper 212 EVO CPU fan from cooler master (really hard to put on), and a Corsair PSU RM750 (I think). I don't know where to start, I was thinking to upgrade my GPU or my motherboard because my motherboard doesn't have wifi (going to buy a network card). I don't know if one of my PC parts are holding back another. Have 2 case fans. Using it for Gaming, CSGO, League of Legends and Fortnite. Any ideas? Thanks

Don't upgrade your motherboard unless you have money to go to a new platform. Either save to overhaul to Ryzen, or for now just get a new (or used) i7 and a good GPU.

weak GPU, you should start there.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Not a very good CPU either. I would upgrade both if I was OP.

Nah, it's pretty solid.  And I wouldn't bother messing with the cpu either, just dump all of that budget into getting the best GPU possible

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Start by telling us a budget, country and whether or not used is an option

1660 Super is around twice as fast as the 1050Ti and is about $300cad, 10 series is out of production and you'd probably pay like $600 for a 1060 which isn't much more than $100usd worth of performance on the used market.

Fellow canuck here, 250-300 is a bit of a stretch new but as slayer said, a 1660 ti or 1660 super would both be great options.  Even the 1650s is equivalent to a 1060 6gb/rx 580, and can be had for around $200 brand new
