Diagnosing a bad GPU?

Go to solution Solved by acidydragon,

The issue, I do believe, was my HDD. I checked by throwing a game onto my SSD, and it runs just fine.

I'm having some issues with my Rig, but I need some help diagnosing if it's my graphics card.

It's the current suspect for two reasons,

1. It's new

2. my CPU and Ram seem to be running fine.

However, my other suspect are drivers, however, I'm decently confident in them.

Help me diagnose!

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

If the GPU is in and it doesn't display anything, then take it out. If it works after you take it out, then RMA it.

I have display,

sorry, should have specified my issue.

I'm having major stuttering issues in games, where the game will just freeze for a few seconds, or skip a few frames. I also have general jittery-ness in the games.

What games do you play, which drivers are you using, and what GPU do you have?

I've tried Assassin's Creed IV, which is where I saw the issue (I just formatted, first game I installed),

Then I tried a nice easy game (World of Warcraft), and the issue wasn't any better.
