Hi guys

I need some help with overclocking my cpu.

I recently got the following :

Ryzen 5 3600

corsair vengeance 2x8gb 3200 mhz ram

asus rog x470-f motherboard

asus rog lc 360 aio

I'm leaving the rest of the specs out as they dont make much of a difference.

Cooling is decent in my H500P  mesh idle at stock is about 46 +-

I'm completely clueless on where to start.

Should I use the bios or ryzen master to overclock?

I'd like to get it up to 4.3ghz for gaming but it would be nice if it could clock down in idle to minimize wear and heat.

Any advise? I cant seem to find a clear step by step guide online as they jump between PBO and Auto OC and PB2 the whole time.

Thanks a million?

My Ryzen Master settings for 4.4 all core if it's any help.

I will say i only notice a difference in benchmarks compared to just PBO enabled but i prefer lower voltages than PBO use so thats the reason i do manual, in games the difference is minimal.

Saw this process on reddit what do you guys think of it?

- Boot into bios
- Disable PB and PBO
- Set voltage at something you like, 1.325 seems like the reasonable starting place
- Set LLC and so on relatively high, mine are turbo
- Set the all-core multiplier to something relatively easy for your cpu to do at that voltage, like 4.2 or 4.15
- Save and boot into Windows
- Start Ryzen Master (use "manual" in one of the extra profiles)
- Pick any CCX, increase it by 25 or 50mhz
- Apply the change
- Run some stability tests like OCCT large fft or CB R20 or whatever you like
- After a short time of no crash repeat above 3 steps until something crashes or errors
- Then dial that CCX back to a stable frequency, minus 25-75hrs as you feel
- Repeat for next CCX until you have done all 4
- When done for all CCXs, do more intensive stress testing
In Prime or OCCT, small FFTs always insta-crashes for pretty much anyone with a moderate overclock it seems.

Thank you so much for this, did you change anything in the bios?
