Kali 2019.4 install

Go to solution Solved by Adason,

i appreciate all the help but at this point i am content with running kali on my 256bg (laptop only has 64gb emmc) live usb with persistant sortage. ill just reinstall windows to my pc and run both. This is week 2 of tring to get any linux distro installed and all of them have had there own issues. Again thanks everyone for your sugestions and hope all of you have a happy new year.

I'm tring to install kali from a live usb. I can make it through the beginning  part just fine, but once i get to the network section things start to go south. Network loggin is fine the dchpv6 or whatever it is runs, but after that i get a blank screen that says configureing the network.  I've tried googling it, but nothing has works.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Download https://www.kali.org/downloads/

And then make sure you turned off secure boot, and enabled legacy boot.

After that enter boot menu then click on the usb your downloading

from and it should work.

Oh ok.

i just checked my bios and i cant fine an option for legacy boot but secure boot has been disabled from start. Anything else you can think of to try; ive reflashed the os 4-5 times each with a fresh download. All of which gave me the same error.

You might have need to research a bit more, cause I've never had that problem. Also I do use kali linux.

This might work (download this iso of kali then update to 2019.4) : http://cdimage.kali.org/kali-images/kali-weekly/kali-linux-2019-W01-amd64.iso

If that doesn't work use this offline kali linux 2017.2 installer iso : http://ftp.yzu.edu.tw/Linux/kali-images/kali-2017.2/kali-linux-2017.2-amd64.iso

This is an offline install iso for kali linux so it should work.

This is a good sign that the iso you are using didn't correctly copy to the USB.

Wipe it and try again.

When running kali from live cd  you can connect to your wireless network fine? But during install it just hangs?

Disable the firmware check by following the steps in this post.
