GPU is on but not working

so i have a ryzen 3200g processor and a gtx 1650 OC graphics card. my PC posted and everything seemed fine. except when i looked in my bios my GPU was not their. Instead it showed my CPU's integrated graphics. I bought the GPU from nvidias website so i know its a legit GPU. My only other question is, why would my GPU slot on my mother board be blinking? This is something i have found 0 info on anywhere on the internet. So if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how i can troubleshoot this problem i am more than welcome to yall's suggestions. I am currently typing this on my new PC.

Have you plugged the monitor into the GPU? Plugging monitor into mobo will not use the dedicated GPU.

What is the make and model of your mobo.

Haven't seen that before... What is your monitor plugged into? The GPU or the on-board motherboard IO? If the GPU isn't even being detected one would think you wouldn't be able to see anything if you're plugged into it.
