Got a possible money saver: the 3600 doesn’t overclock much.  If you go 3600x (which is only a slightly better stock cooler) and it’s only ten bucks more, you could omit the cryorig and save money.

SLI is useful for only a few things these days.  Very few games support it.  Those things often benefit from more cores.  So gaming CPU, non gaming GPU.
At this point I would need to know the use case to comment on the GPU choice.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

My bad, sorry. There was only supposed to be one GPU. As for the 3600x, I'll take a look.

In that case you may want to look at the choice of a 1080. It’s about the same performance as several other GPUs which may cost less.  No price is mentioned so it may already be purchased in which case it doesn’t matter.

Yup, I already have it from an old build and don't see much point in splashing out on a new one when the 1080 is still a good contender. Does the rest of the build look good?
