M.2 advice

Hello

 

I am looking to order a 500gb m.2 drive. I am on a budget so looking to spend no more than £65.

 

I was going to buy this one: Crucial CT500P1SSD8 P1 500 GB (3D, NAND, NVMe, PCIe, M.2, Solid State Drive) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07J2WBKXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_oz2bEbAEKQXH4

 

But looking at some reviews is bit as fast as the 1tb version and apparently overheats. 

 

I have also been looking at following: Sabrent 512GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive (SB-ROCKET-512) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KGMBCKD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TC2bEb58FA0QS this one has good reviews but could not find many reviews of the 512gb ones about. 

 

I am aware that Samsung make some of the to m.2 drives but these seem a bit of of my budget, especially as I'm restricted to Amazon as I am paying for it with Amazon vouchers I got for Christmas.

 

Does anyone have any advice? I have an Asus X99-S motherboard running an i7 5820k.

 

Please also be aware that I'm UK based so would most likely be purchasing from Amazon UK.

Wendell from Level 1 gave a good review of the ADATA XPG SX8200.  If you want another option in that price range.

which mobo do you have, does it have m.2 heatsinks?

You have WD SN500 there cheaper than all of them, it's very good SSD, especially for the price.
