Which processor/ motherboard combination do you use? Generally, if your system is running fine, everything is ok.

Look up the motherboard, and then compatiabiltity lists.  Should say if there is a BIOS update needed for certain CPU's.

 

Like the Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 5 can support 9th gen Intel CPUs with the new BIOS.

well some bios does are not cpu related like the old mix`s am2,am2+,am3. am3+ .... lol even a mobo with am2 handle am3 with diferent fsb. it depend of  the oem to support and upgrade cpus via bios most cases
