Would you consider upgrading a Vega 64?

Need to shift GPUs down in my systems to get my daughter a GPU.

 

Worthwhile to spend money upgrading my Vega 64 to a 5700XT/2070S, or just buy her a cheap beater card for now (570, 1650s) and hang on to my V64 until Navi 20 launches next year?

 

Option 1 also improves my TV gamer's GPU to a Vega 56, and my wife's PC to a Vega 64

 

Option 2 keeps everyone the same (TV gamer stays on the RX 580) and just give my daughter an RX 570/1650S.

 

Thoughts?

i enjoy buying new hardware for myself instead of wasting money for someone else's beaten crap.

i'd say get an RTX 2070 super, give her the 64 and don't look back.

Alternatively I could get something like a 1660 ti for my TV gamer (I actually use this more than anything, and there's more titles that aren't managing 60fps at 1080p high on the RX 580) and let her have that.

 

EVGA has B-stock 1660 ti for $219 right now, which is half the cost of a 2070s.

 

I would still benefit from this, and so would she.

I wouldn't upgrade now, with new cards coming out in a few months.

I definitely wouldn't hold my breath for big AMD

Been happy with my Vega 64, which is part of my conundrum.

 

My daughter is playing on integrated graphics and even shit like My Time in Portia sucks on it, lol.

If you're happy with your performance, why don't you grab her a GTX 1070? You can get those for like $100 if you play your cards right.

I wouldn't upgrade until the 3000 Nvidia cards come out. Then you can watch big Vega get crushed, and decide then.

Been searching Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for gpu deals..... Best I've come across are $80 570s. Saw a $200 Vega 56.

 

Every 1070 I've found is in the $220 range, which I'd rather get the 1660 ti b stock.

 

Honestly I may just make her keep using igpu until I find something good.

eBay is your friend. I've already picked up 2 for $100.
