What monitor specs should i look for for a gaming system, I need a monitor and pc(gpu, cpu, monitor, psu, ram) any pc part lists or monitors would be appreciated.

note: i do not need ssd, hdd or case, as i will be using an old case as well as some ssds i got.

I take that to mean you are looking to spend $1150 on a new system that needs to include an appropriate monitor, but does not need storage or a case.

The parts of a computer that people interact with directly (monitor keyboard mouse) are very subjective.  I could pick a monitor but you may hate it.  I could pick a keyboard as well, but you might find it too annoying to use.  The monitor in particular is critical.  Monitor output levels define GPU requirements, and the GPU is potentially the most expensive thing in the entire system.  Do you want a big slow monitor, or a small fast monitor?  A big fast monitor would be best, but to do it it has to be a big fast cheap monitor which will have other problems.

”small/big” is resolution not physical dimensions.  1080p bs 1440p. Monitors will be 24”-27”.  for “small” monitors or 27”-32” you can’t afford over 32” really.  for “big” monitors.  1080p is kind of pushing it at 27”. Big fast monitors will all be 27”, and they’re going to cost somewhere around $250-400

For big slow, or small fast you don’t need a top flight GPU.  This makes things cheaper.  If you want big and fast you DO need a top level gpu AND the monitor is going to be more expensive so corners need to be cut.

So the question is what KIND of gaming do you want to do?  If it’s RPGs or other single player stuff big slow is fine.  If you want to play competitive PvP shooters small fast will work better.  If you want to do BOTH big fast would be most helpful in which case we need to cut.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

A worthy big/fast option.  Memory is a bit slow, Mobo perhaps a bit short on options, Got to cut somewhere though.

here’s a small/fast one.  Your mouse/keyboard weren’t selectable but there a bit under a hundred bucks left to pick something.  Faster memory, higher end motherboard, more video card than you probably need, but it will hit 144 in basically everything always.

Is the xt variant worth the 50 and dows bios flash ruin waranty?

Xt variant can be.  It’s more like $110.  The bios flash thing is kinda iffy.  It doesn’t work on all cards.  If you can reflash the bios to stock before sending it in it won’t.  It’s not always possible though.  If you can get a decent 5700xt for only $50 more than a 5700 it’s probably worth the money.  It will run a bit faster than a modded 5700 canes and will make less noise doing it.  That was sort of the point behind the 5700 on the small/fast option. The card wouldn’t be working at max and would make a good bit less noise even with a lower end cooler option.
