Hey all, New here looking for a little feedback to see what would be the best direction to go. Thinking of doing a new build but i am currently running everything at 1440p on a 144hz 1ms monitor. Current specs are as follows;

I5 6600k OC'd to 4.4gh

Gigabyte 980ti slight OC

16gb ram

gigabyte Z170 motherboard

OS on a 850 evo SSD.

850W evga powersupply

240 or 280mm nzxt kraken AIO

Would it be better to just upgrade to say a 2070 super with the current peripheral specs and run the rest for another year or so? PC is mainly used for gaming, internet and movies.

max budget i would want to spend if a new build is in order somewhere in the $1800-$2000 CAD

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks!

Bullet.

Depends on the game usually I’m hovering around 100fps maybe a little lower. Looking to get into 4K streamed to the big screen occasionally. The idea is coming from a pc I helped a friend put together and started looking at component prices for my own uses. Seeing some of the holiday prices piqued my curiosity a bit more to build a new system.
