Is surface pro 6 good idea for thin and light daily drive? + Pricing help

Hey guys, I think I've found good deal on completely new surface pro 6(i5 gen8, 8GB RAM, 128 SSD [planning to add sd card for any bulk files]) with type cover keyboard for 625$ 
The only downside is complete lack of warranty since it's listed on pawnshop. Is it good deal? If not do you have any recommendations for thin and light 2in1 or laptop that
I can use for taking notes and cloud work? I really wanna something that I can throw in the bag and forgot about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's a pretty good deal. If you want a good tablet (I personally don't consider it a 2-in-1, more a tablet with a dedicated keyboard connector/case/whatever) and can live with 128GB of storage, go for it.

My cousin still carries around his surface pro 4 and loves it. It just depends if you need to use the device on your lap or not a lot.

Very good point. A Surface (with the type cover on) sucks *ass* to use on a lap.
