Laptop recomendations

Im looking to get a decent laptop for Christmas that is around £1000.

Iv been looking at this Asus one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-i5-9300H-GeForce-Graphics-NumberPad/dp/B07SZ1DRSQ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=asus%2Brog%2Bstrix%2Blaptop&qid=1576925929&sr=8-3&th=1 (The AMD R7-3750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 option)

Is it worth the price, is there any other laptop with similar specs that is cheaper or do you have any better recommendations?

Thanks in advance

5-7 hrs battery life is a bit hard to be achieved in gaming laptops, your options will be limited

This is the only decent option I can find for your budget, with 5-6 hrs battery life (66Wh). It's an Asus tho so be aware of poor QC. https://www.box.co.uk/G531GU-AL315T-ASUS-ROG-Strix-G531GU-AL315T_2601655.html

Build quality not great, bad cooling, Asus poor QC+aftersales
