Crossfire 2 different GPUs

I do remember reading once that AMD allowed crossfire with 2 different GPUs

 

Now I do have Rx 550 and planning to but a Rx 570 on a GIGIABYTE H97-D3H-CF mobo can I crossfire these 2 GPUs together ?

no. They need to be the same GPU series.. so 550 with another 550, 570 with another 570 etc...

I think I vaguely recall "back in the day" with the Radeon HD series you could CFX HD7970's with HD7950's (correct me there). That may be old news OP learned about but is no longer the case with the RX series cards today.
