If it's a stock Intel cooler, no, and I doubt it's a well known aftermarket cooler that has an AM4 bracket that can be bought separately/upgraded, but either way AMD CPU's come with their own coolers that likely have much better cooling capacity than whatever you have on that i3-2120, but if you want to overclock you have to buy something better either way, I wouldn't even consider overclocking if I'm coming off an 8 year old build, hold that off for later

its not that old.. 10 years ago was the duo core era.. its more like 8 years old at this point aha.

Edit: i guess i should add to this besides that. id only get the 2700x if can get a insane deal on it. i know i got mine half price during black friday sales. where i live they sold out all over the place. other wise if just gaming the 3600x is also fine that someone mentioned also mentions since its almost close. but yeah there is no r5 3700x thats an r7 (must been a typo)

Edit2: geez i need a break from the forums again i think. anyways yeah included coolers with processors are way better than anything that long ago so use those. im even using the default one on mine at this point at stock.
