Alienware Amplifier vs Desktop.

I was looking online the other day and no one has a good video of a alienware amplifier vs desktop. 

Now that the Alienware laptops with a i7 8750h are starting to get really cheap " I picked one up used in good condition yesterday paired with a gtx 1070 for 700$ also picked up a Amplifier for 60$ and a Gtx 1080ti Asus strix for 375$" I'm very curious to see how they perform vs a desktop. Like a ryzen 5 2600 vs i7 8750h paired with a high end gpu, maybe 1080ti or rtx 2080? They are very close in performance at stock speeds. I would love to see a video from @LinusTech about this, i think a lot of people would like to see this since there is no good videos on youtube about it! What do you guys think?

If you want to be able to take your PC with you, laptop. If it doesn't matter, desktop. That's how I see the laptop vs desktop debate.

 

My laptop is actually a better performer than the Ryzen desktop is for games lol

Not about portability  its can it perform the same and portability is a bonus.
