PSU stopped working, need help

Hello everyone,

I've been reading this forum for quite some time, finally made an account 'cause I need a tip or two.

I had some random seven year old PSU from Cooler Master, up until it died and blew a fuse in my house. Tested another PSU, components aren't fried.

I live in Serbia, many of the world-renowned brands aren't available here, or they are hard to find, so I had few options on my mind.

My PC is a five year old Haswell setup, so even though it doesn't draw too much power (i5 4690K, 16 GB DDR3, Sapphire 7850, SSD, HDD), I'd get nothing short of 500W Gold Modular PSU with proper protections.

 

Units that I could find and are decent according to y'all, with the prices included:

SAMA Armor 550W (70€)

BitFenix Whisper M 450W (73€)
SeaSonic Focus GX-650 (100€)
Corsair SF450 (105€)

 

Which one would be the best choice?

for the pricing you have I'd personally pick either the Whisper or Armor (gold i assume?)

 

the other two don't really add much, while costing 30 dollars more

How does SAMA Gold 550W compare to BitFenix? Which one would you go for?
I ask because I could get SAMA tomorrow, while I'd have to wait around ten days for BitFenix to arrive (which isn't a problem, I'll wait if it's worth it).

the whisper is superior to the SAMA here, but both are good half bridge llc's at a wattage that i don't care about multirail. the difference honestly isn't that big

 

if you want to wait, you can wait for the bitfenix, but i'd say sama is a good choice here

That pretty much solves it, I guess I'll buy SAMA Armor tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help!
I have to ask one thing though
SAMA doesn't have all the protections (on the website it doesn't say that it has UVP), while BitFenix pretty much has all that I've heard of.

How significant is that?
