What was your first CPU and GPU in a custom PC you built?

 

Mine was AMD Athlon XP and nVidia GeForce MX440 with 64MB video memory.

 

I built the system to play Command and Conquer Renegade

Intel Pentium III 450mhz

Nvidia Riva 128 4MB PCI

2xSTB Black Magic Voodoo2 12MB 

 

Edit: Technically three graphics cards, but they all went together at once. The term GPU hadn't been coined yet.

 

Pretty sure I did it for Quake 2....or maybe it was Heavy Gear. Been a while.

The first consumer "GPU" to be termed so, because of hardware transform and lighting, was the Nvidia GeForce 256.

First which I remember was AMD Phenom x4 9750 and ATI Radeon 4850

   @Whiro tag or quote will do the trick 

 

Steam Deck OLED 512gb , all other pc’s are gone
