So, for the past few months (maybe even a year) I've been trying to figure out what to build. Money is pretty low, but since my Asus G750 has started bluescreening me every other week I need to get a build going soon.

I think I have watched enough, that I feel comfortable going with Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB 3200 mhz, probably a 1tb Intel 660p M.2 and thats quite it.

I have absolutely no clue, if I should be getting a 1660 Super, 5500XT, 580 or a 590. I want to get as good a performance as possible for my money.

I think I will save up for a 144Hz monitor later on.

I am aiming for a budget around $900-$1200.

Games I know I will be playing includes League of Legends, Apex Legends, GTA V, Path of Exile and Fortnite. That's simply because that's the only think I can play now and that's what I play with friends.

GTA, Apex and Fortnite are a bit laggy even on the lowest setting so I guess being able to run stuff on high settings @60 fps would be amazing for me (currently Fortnite is treating me with around 40 fps if I have NOTHING else running)

I live in Denmark, and I have found that pc part prices here are definately not the same as in USA and Canada.

edit: aiming for 1080p 60fps

My only problem with PC part picker, is that it does not include some of the biggest retailers in Denmark like Proshop, Computersalg and Komplett.

- Why go with 3600 MHz memory over 3200 or even 3000, is it that much better compared to price?

I just built my first very own system (The seller i bought from was selling Intel CPUs for cheaper than Ryzen)
You could take reference from it, it mostly shreds through most games at 1080p 144hz

You could change  i5 to ryzen 5 and a compatible motherboard

if going intel, i manged to oc to 5ghz on a 48$ aio (120mm rad)

THIS IS MY SIGNATURE

if you can find parts at better prices with the other retailers, good for you.

you''l get about 5% improvement in fps going 3000 or 3200 to 3600 (if it's C16). if the price difference isn't more than 2-3% of the overall build price, it's worth going for the faster ones.

G.Skill AEGIS DDR4-3000 C16 DC - 16GB = 531 DKK
G.Skill RipjawsV DDR4-3200 C16 DC - 16GB = 538 DKK
G.Skill SniperX DDR4-3600 C19 DC - 16GB = 566 DKK

Those are the 3 cheapest 3000/3200/3600 kits I could find. I'm guessing I should go 3200 MHz then, since the 3600 is only C19?

how much would a 3600 C16 be? if you can find one under 730DkK, I'd say it's worth it.

also, make sure it's a 2x8 kit, not a 1x16.

928 on the same website, can probably find it cheaper elsewhere.

Yeah, 926 on another website, they did list another kit for 637, but that's not in stock and restock date is "Unavailable"
