So heres the story. My PC has been working absolutely fine for about 6 months. About a month ago I made some upgrades (a GTX 770, and an i5.)

The upgrades worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now, my PC wont fully boot unless my external hard drive is unplugged.

if it is pugged in, the PC sits at the BIOS splash screen, not even letting me enter the BIOS it just freezes there. When its unplugged it boots just fine. No problems.

i have windows 8.1 if that helps.

My god.. Is this a virus, i had this to!

What i did wat power my computer on with my HDD disconnected. Then when it is on just plug the Sata back in again.

Then i shut the system off and put my HDD S-ATA (for power) connection in a different slot in my PSU and that helped me but i don't know if it helps for you!

Do you have Debug LED's on your motherboard? Mine showed the "99".
