How to parse info from string [JAVA]

I am trying to take the output string

from my database and put the variable r_lhs and r_rhs into a matrix or at least each in an array. What would be the fastest way to do this? Can I essentially look for r_lhs and r_rhs in the String with an equals statement? I'm just confused how I would then iterate it or differentiate which one I am on. Thanks

look im no java jockey, more so python from me, but couldnt you use .split(), several times and iterate through and then work with the recieved values? i know this is janky AF, but it can work

sample code (assuming you can parse each row into an array, this is how youd process each row )
  

i = line

r_lhs = i.split("r_lhs=[")[1].split("],")[0].split(",")

r_rhs = i.split("r_rhs=[")[1].split("],")[0].split(",")

now r_lhs, and r_rhs are arrays that contain the value as specified in the row of the output text that you are parsing (again, im going row by row, and id advise you do that too)

Since the rows are very similar, this sounds like a very good place to use regular expressions: 

Document{{_id=[^,]+, r_id=[^,]+, r_datetime=[^,]+, r_lhs=(?<lhs>[^,]+), r_rhs=(?<rhs>[^,]+)}}

This expression will give you two capturing groups names "lhs" and "rhs" with the value that follows the equals sign. For example "[ A ]" and "[ B ]" for the first row. (Sorry about the blanks... stupid formatter)

(Don't worry about the name, it works just fine with Java)

 

The pattern matches "Document" followed by two curly braces, followed by "_id=". It then matches multiple characters (except a comma), followed by a comma, and so on. When the pattern finds "r_lhs=" it starts a capturing group "(...)" and gives the capturing groups a name "?<lhs>". Instead of using a name you can also simply use the group's index (1 and 2, the index 0 is the whole matching line).

 

The class you need would be java.util.regex.Pattern.
