Computer wont boot when m.2 SSD is installed

Specs

MoBo: MSI B450 Tomahawk

SSD:  Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2 500GB

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: RX 590

Hello!  So i just finished building a new computer (old Hard drives and case, everything else is new), and i decided to get a m.2 ssd aswell.  Ive never used an ssd of any kind before.  The problem is the computer immediately goes into Automatic repair, and fails.  Removing the ssd fixes it, but it never wants to cooperate when the ssd is in.  Is there something obvious im missing or could the SSD be faulty?

Did you try having connected only the SSD.

If not, try it, disconnect any other drive.
