So, I hope this is the right place seeing as it is audio related. I'm looking for a good audio interface for my Windows 10 Desktop. If at all possible I'd like to find something that can handle bass and guitar. I would also love it if I could push my guitar sound from my TBX150H through it for recording my actual amplifier. So would anyone be able to recommend a  good audio interface on top of a good free or cheap software for said guitar?

Check this guy out. I don't have personal experience with it, but I have read good things about it.

https://www.amazon.com/Tascam-US-1X2-2-Out-Audio-Interface/dp/B074Q5W46C?tag=guitarfella0a-20

This one costs a little more, but from a more respected name. I have the older brother to this one and can say it is a solid device.

Something like a scarlett solo or 2i2, a Presonus Audiobox or a Behringer UMC22/UMC202 would suffice, at varying price points. You can directly use these with instruments or with microphone inputs. You may want to add a inline with your guitar/bass to prevent stray interference.

When you say:

Do you mean that you want to record the tone the amp produces or record the actual output of your amp?

If you want to just take the tone/eq from the amp, then you can use the send from the amp (right hand side on the front) which should be a post-EQ/FX output. If you want to record the physical output of the amp (and speaker you've connected it to) then you'll need a mic to record it with. A typical mic to use on guitar would be a sennheiser e609 or e906, for bass a shure beta 57A.

Both seem promising, and when you said it cost a little more I actually wasn't expecting it to still be pleasantly cheap. With the older one, are you able to run like say an amplifier through it and then through your desktop/laptop whatever?

First reply was answering your question, let let me tell you why you may want to reconsider.

The bass guitar alone is not creating the sound you hear from your amp. The amp is either using analog devices to "color" the sound or doing digital processing with it. You will get a very dull/flat sound if you plug the guitar directly into an interface and record from that. If your amp has an output, I suggest recording from that instead. If not, then you should really look for something like a digital pedal-board that has a USB interface on it, that will give you a much more guitar-like sound.

I am looking to get the tone/eq from the amp. So I'll also look into those as well.
