Hiya guys, I'm sitting on an 8 year PC using intel celeron D proc and a geforce 6600 gt videocard. So i was playing that day and stopped for a while, was looking at the browser and both my sound card and video card turned off,the soundcard got bugged. I tried rebooting my PC but the screen just said "no signal detected", I tried booting it with the last working configuration(It works, still but I can't do anything but browse) i tried deleting all of the existing drivers. Now on every start the computer works, but if I install the videocard as a hardware, I get the "no signal detected message" Help meeee :D

Your capacitors could have blown, for older motherboards the average live span was around 6-7 years unless you went high end which it doesnt seem like it. Check every cap, even on the the cards to see if they have enlarged or exploded

Look at the two caps closest to the screen, the one on the left is good, one on the right is bulging a lot and its likely that its broke. Also if there is rust then that could be the problem.

Sadly my friend it seems like your pc is coming to an end of its life, beck all your files the hell up the second you are able to access them.

Grab the HDD and plug it in to an other PC.

If you don't have an other (or if it does not have the needed connections simply make a  Live CD http://clonezilla.org. The bioot from the CD and cole the whole HDD to an external one

ATTENTION: Dont cose image in clonezilla (this will create a zip data)
