I have a build that I mainly use for plex server, handbrake, and have a hdmi ran to front room tv for watching youtube and stuff. I currently have a 500 GB SSD, OS drive, and 2 HGST Deskstar NAS 4TB hard drives in Raid 0.  My hard drives are full and I want to upgrade. Please provide any constructive criticism you have. BTW i have extra hard drives not in the system I keep everything backed up to.

What I am looking to install:

I figured since I am upgrading might as well do it. I was also going to reserve the ssd in case I used the computer to host a game for friends, have done it in the past but not that often.
I have been out of the "tech loop" for a bit. Thought M.2 was nice to have, more of a 1st world problem I know.

This would be my recommendation for an M.2 NVMe SSD:

Friend the M.2's are quite reliable, generally speaking the quality they offer in this standard is very good, almost literally you can not choose a bad M.2 that is PCIe NVMe type. Here are some options in case you want to check it out:
