I just  cloned my 2tb hdd files onto my new 8tb hdd. But the 8tb is acting like a 2tb HDD because 5tb is unallocated. I need to convert the drive to GPT, but its greyed out on disk management. i'd need to delete the data i just cloned in order to change it  to GPT, making the cloning a complete waste of my time. Suggestions on what I should do? I want all the data from my 2tb hdd onto my 8tb hdd, but I want to have 8tb spaceimage.thumb.png.30483c9ae37319fd31c802605528cfb2.png

You can convert MBR to GPT without* data loss using the MBG2GPT tool: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

Otherwise, if it's from a data drive, I'd just delete the 8TB partitions, convert to GPT, and either copy and paste directly or use robocopy or TeraCopy.

*As with all low-level storage operations, it's not guaranteed you won't lose anything.
