looking for a recommendation for a usb type c addon card with an internal connection for my new case. my specs are old, and i do plan on an upgrade soon. computer is old but still plays most new stuff with out too many issues. intel 2600k oc to a mild 4.4 on air, asrock z77 extreme 4 evga 1070 sc , 16 g ddr3. new case is the nzxt 500. basically i would like to use the port on the case for type c without too much of an expense and something that is fairly plug and play. thanks for your time and any help with a decent brand and your experence

I have the z87.

Basically, you can't with the existing motherboard headers.

Since there is no MB header for it. That's probably not the option you want.

This is probably more like what you want:

This only makes the USB-C port a USB 3.0 port however.

Same with this:

If you're looking explicitly for a PCIe card to add the USB 3.0 ports, you need something like:

https://www.newegg.com/p/17Z-0001-000D9

or

https://www.newegg.com/p/17Z-00PS-00006

where there is a USB 3.0 header on expansion card itself.
