Hi. So I am currently interested in buying a power bank and I'm not really sure what is out there and what I should buy. I'm looking for a powerbank that isn't too bulky but still has a good capacity. And one of the most important features that I am looking after is fast charging, considering that some phones today charge as fast as 50W I'm hoping that there are powerbanks out there that have at least half as fast charging. Now I don't have a specific budget but I don't really want to overspend, in the end it's only a power bank. Also, last thing, must be using USB C for charging. Now I want at the very least 10.000mah and perhaps 20.000-25.000mah at best. I'm not really sure which brands should I choose but for now I only have Anker in mind.

Re: size

All power banks use either LiPo or various kinds of LiIOn batteries.  Their energy density these days is about the same. A 10000mah battery is going to be a 4-5 cell 18650.  Mabe 3-4 modern smartphones stacked on top of each other.  Plus electronics.  A 20000 is going to be twice that volume.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

For cheap, I have a 14,000 mAh battery bank I bought for $24. Problem is you pay for it in size, as in, one can bludgeon bears with this thing if one had the urge. There are comparably specced power banks that use LiPo and are substantially smaller, but are much more expensive too.

It’s lead acid?  Gonna be heavy too.  I wonder how big it is?
the other lithium chemistries are actually the same energy density and weight as LiPo so if it isn’t lithium it’s lead acid, or one of the rarer non lithium chemistries.  As lithium batteries go LiPo is actually the cheap dangerous stuff.  The other chemistries have longer service lives and are safer.

Oh god no, it's certainly not lead acid. Didn't think anyone made lead acir battery banks. ?

This one is just a bunch of the cylindrical Li-ion cells. Not as power dense as LiPo (hence the size and weight, but still about 1-1.5 pounds), but substantially cheaper.

LiPo is a lithium chemistry made into a flat, more malleable form. More expensive, but the polymers are lighter, and the battery is easier to fit into smaller spaces. As advances are focused here, power density sees slight improvements over time.
