Display problems.. any help please!

So I purchased an Omen 27 X. 

naturally I purchased it for the advantage of having a 2k monitor, with the ability to still retain the much needed 240 FPS. I play at a highly competitive level in a AAA FPS title and need every frame. With that being said I’m having issues. When I’m in game the resolution and frame rate is fine, but every so often the screen will turn off for a split second and turn back on. It happens intermittently maybe every 5 minutes or so. I’m wondering if it’s because the DP cable isn’t rated for 240hz @ 2k?

well if you're DP cable isn't rated for 240HZ @ 2K then yeah It's probably that, however, it could also be a faulty power cable or power brick, I'd try it at 240HZ and lower res and see if it handles that, then if same thing is happening, I'd reduce the refresh rate. It could generally be broken and if so it'd be having issues at any res and refresh rate...assuming you've already replugged everything to make sure there are no loose connections.

Sorry I need to clarify, it’s a 1440p monitor rated for 240hz. Do they make a DP cable rated for that transfer? I only see 1440p @ 165hz as the fastest?
