Posted November 30, 2019 Here's my take on it. Changed your RAM to a regular one. Do you really want the RGB? Also changed your motherboard to the MAX version since it's a better upgrade path. And since you're doing air cooling, the NZXT case isn't necessariy. Changed it to a Fractal Meshify which is tons better in air cooling. Changed your video card to a 1660 super since its newer. Thanks for the response. Is there any positives in switching up the case performance wise? Also if I shed the HDD entirely and just use an old one I could allocate that to a larger SSD. Do you think the CPU Cooler is necessary? Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1129236-build-help-i-know-i-know/#findComment-13088611 Share on other sites
 Also if I shed the HDD entirely and just use an old one I could allocate that to a larger SSD. Do you think the CPU Cooler is necessary? Yes, if your old HDD is still useable then get a bigger SSD, preferably an NVME for faster speeds. The Ryzen 2600 comes with the wraith stealth cooler which is good enough but it's too small for my taste. It's usable as long as you don't plan on overclocking, but I suggest putting in good case fans to distribute the airflow properly.
