So, years ago (about 6-7?) my brother got a Saitek EVO Joystick for his birthday to play Flight Sim X. He doesn't use it anymore so I want to use it for ARMA 2/3. It amazingly works , apart from two missing buttons. I want to fix these as they are in a good place. I have made replacements for them, just need to mount them.

This is the joystick. With the two missing buttons.

Heres a close up for you

Now, here are the "buttons" that I made, they are just 3mm acrylic

I only have basic tools to use, and can't find replacement buttons anywhere, so it seems like my only option.

Thanks

They are microswitches. Why not just make a button of sorts from plastic or firm rubber and just glue it to the black switch button? You basically just need to make something that protudes the switch above the surface of the controller. Something in the shape of a mushroom; small narrow stalk that has th esame diameter of the button on the switch, with a shaft long enough that allows the switch to be bottomed out without restriction. Then a hat thats large enough for your thumb. Find some material thats easy enough to work with a hobby knife and then use some super glue. Maybe even find a clothes button as the hat and then something simply for the shaft.

Good luck.

Can you make something out of a black eraser and super glue it on?

Maybe, I'll have a go later

I will, might try a board pin and just either end, so it will press.
