RX 580 Underperforming?

recently i bought a rx 580 8gb powercolor red dragon and after running a cinebench r15 opengl i only got 80fps, where online ive seen people get 120+ fps. Also i ran 3d Mark firestrike and got 4,300 but ive seen people get way more with this card. my specs are:

Ryzen 7 1700

12GB DDR4 RAM

RX 580

Corsair CX430 PSU

250gb ssd

1tb hdd

Main Rig: Ryzen 7 1700, 12 GB, RX 580 8 GB  Second Rig: FX-8150, 16 GB, R9 290 4 GB 

Third Rig: FX-6100, 16 GB, GTX 780 Ti 3 GB  Twin HP Compaq Elite 8200 Towers: i7 2600 (x2), 16 GB (x2), HD 5450 1 GB (x2)

CX430 to powers all that? that might be your issue.

I agree that your PSU sounds like the issue, it is amazing that your rig is running at all under load to be honest if it has a 430W PSU. The GPU is probably down-clocking itself as it is starved of power.

thanks i was wondering if that would be the case. Ive had that PSU since my old fx 8320e system and have been meaning to upgrade for a while. What cheap PSUs do you suggest?

would that explain my gpu and cpus usage going all over the place during gaming?

cinebench FPS benchmark is dumb. don't use it for anything its meaningless

as others said it could be psu

 

but either way, cb is not a good benchmark for gpus

 

i got better FPS on my 1060 3gb than i did on my vega 64. it makes no sense.
