As Black Friday rolls around, I'm planning on putting some money into my $600 2016 PC (i3 6100, RX470, 8GB Ram) to allow it to adequately run games at 1080p 60fps for the next 2-3 years or so. I've been considering swapping my i3 for a used i5 6500 (and keeping the same motherboard), upgrading the RX 470 to an RX 580, and swapping one of my two 4gb ram sticks for an 8gb stick, for a total of 12gb. Is this a good plan? Will these upgrades allow me to run BFV, Doom Eternal, Dying Light 2, and more future games at stable frame rates? Also, what do I need to do (software wise) before changing CPU, GPU, and Ram?

~$350 total, what combo of CPU, GPU, and RAM upgrades would give me the best bang for my buck at that price?

which version is it, the H110M-D allows for 7th gen, while the H110M-A doesnt. so that will be a bit of a gamble unless you know your specific board

scenario 1. you have the H110M-D

i5 7500 + $150 for any GPU

Scenario 2 YOu have the H110M-A

i5 6600K + $150 for GPU

though wait for the reply of others.

It's the A, and I'd rather go for the 6500 to save a few bucks because I can't overclock

if you are going that route, then just get a used CPU(though might be risky) then splurge on the GPU. also check your PSU if it can handle the GPU you plan to get.
