Hi guys,

So i am planning to build or should i say re-build old system that i have with the new case which i ofcourse need to buy!

Since tomorrow is black friday i need to decide what to buy and use disscounts wisely, and i am not sure about all the details so i need your help!

So the system is based on:

Gigabyte z77x ud5h

with

i7-3770k

Plan is to build RGB kind of system with good airflow and possiblity to overclock 3770k to at least 4.5Ghz!

Since the motherboard does not support RGB lighting i need some kind of case that has RGB fans controlled somehow else!

So what i need is:

  • Help on deciding what RGB case to buy and how to connect everything (budget is up to 80€)
  • Help on what CPU cooler to use, and if this i own is good enough (currently have CM Hyper TX3i)
  • Help on deciding on upgrading storage(currently have WD Green SSD 240GB and HDD)
+ Is having a small SSD and good enough HDD good idea, or should i go with bigger SSD?

I would be gratefull if you guys could provide me with links of cases that could be good for my build!

If you need any additional informations about build components or anything else feel free to ask!

BTW since English is like my third language i apologize for errors... :/

Edit:

Market and location:  Europe/Slovenia

You can give me any link from any country and i will search it in mine!

this is one of the better combos I can think of, although it goes slightly over budget

not a particularly large cooler, you should look for something like a Noctua NH-U12S, and you could probably find one secondhand fora  decent price.

small SSD is fine, I use a 120Gb for boot drive anyway. Although if you don't have the green, there are better options out there.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I was thinking more of a unit that already has fans installed... I found this Antec NX600(https://antec.com/product/case/nx600.php) but i am not sure is this case any good?

I am also a bit confused with this controller on the back and the whole situation with 6pin fan connectors?

If i lets say buy a RGB CPU coller that has 4pins can i connect it there or not?

I picked a fan set with a controller installed that I know uses standard 4 pin connectors, I think that would have made more sense. I'm not a fan of cases that use proprietary plugs.
