Hey LTT Forum, today I came here to ask for help because I couldn't diagnose my problem let alone solve it by myself.

I recently bought myself a 165 Hz panel and started and after a short while I noticed I had a lot of fps drops/stuttering on my games and found it extremely annoying. I tried to freshly install windows, didn't work. Completely wiped my GPU drivers and reinstalled it, did't work either. Contacted NVIDIA support for help neither they could help me find my issue.

I'm running an i5-9600k (It was overclocked but when I had these issues I rolled it back to normal thought it was unstable but I don't think it's the case anymore) cooled with Corsair Hydro H115i Pro so I don't have any thermal issues either. As my GPU I run a 2080 and it's msi Gaming X Trio version so it has a decent cooling as well (not overclocked). I have those on Asus Rog Z390-H with 2x8 of 3 ghz Corsair Vengeance Ram. Only think I didn't but new was my storage and I maybe thought it could cause a bottleneck on my PC so I just ordered a new one but didn't receive it yet but I'm not sure if that's the solution for my PC.

Now I'm going to link few benchmarks and logs of my PC so you guys can help me further if you wish.

How's your internet connection? If that is dropping or varying wildly in speeds, that can contribute depending on the game you are playing.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Symetrical 100 mbp/s connected via ethernet cable and have a decent modem. But never tested the stability of it. Is there a way that I can test it? I would love to do it when I arrive home in an hour.

If you got a lot of bufferbloat you can try enabling QOS on your router to see if its getting better. In games like battlefield, this will make alot of difference.

If you want to be totally sure everything is ok. First run memory in auto mode 2133mhz, 1.2v, everything on auto, basically clear CMOS, then reinstall windows 10 in offline mode, then when first booting into windows stay offline and disable automatic driver installation and install everything manually from your motherboard support website and nvidia drivers.

Disable automatic driver installation: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/disable-automatic-driver-downloads-on-windows-10
